Build your own beautiful wood working mallet. Only material required in a 15" x 6" x 3/4" piece of wood and some 5/16 dowel. The dowels help with alignment during glue up and also create a nice accent feature to the look of your mallet!
Tips and Tricks
-Try your best to avoid glue squeeze out on the inside of the mallet, it will make sliding in the handle much easier
-Cut dowels slightly longer than the width of your mallet and cut them flush afterwards
-If your handle is a very tight fit, a few passes with a card scraper helps everything slide in and remain snug
-When using very oily woods (eg. padauk, purpleheart, teak) sanding the glue face lightly before glue up will eliminate a glue seam line. These oily woods have a tendency to release natural oils when glued that can be seen on the glue seam.

The Crv. files should load directly into your vectric software with the toolpaths ready to go.  Toolpaths set for use of a 1/8th inch router bit but can also easily be adjusted.
